Topic: It Will Last

SCRIPTURE: I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. Ecclesiastes 3:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Do not be afraid for your future; if it is God who did something for you, it will last.

MESSAGE

Our anchor scripture makes it clear that the power of God is durable in effect (Ecclesiastes 3:14). This implies that the power of God produces lasting results in the lives of people and on nations. John 8:36 corroborates that when it says, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. That is, you are irreversibly free; it is an irreversible reaction.

I came to the Lord first in 1979 but rededicated my life to God on the 12th of May 1986. Now, some of my old friends with whom we did one or two things together said to me, “We give you six weeks, you will join us again.”
At that time, I was in a higher institution, and we were about to write a major examination. So, some of them said maybe it was the fear of the examination that made me give my life to Christ. Others said that maybe I saw a girl in the fellowship, and that I was trying to impress her by giving my life to Christ. They said I would join them again after about six weeks. The six weeks have become more than 37 years now. The six weeks is yet to come and can never come because what God does is permanent and durable.

When people see how God moves in our lives, things happening effortlessly, God erecting the Glory Dome in the Lord’s Garden for Himself and people trooping to church en masse, they say, “Such things do not last; let us give them time.” The truth is, God did it by His power, so it has lasted, and it will continue to last.

Beloved, do not be afraid for your future; if it is God who did something for you, it will last. Do not be afraid for your healing or deliverance. If God healed or delivered you, it will last; no devil will bring the affliction or sickness back. Do not be afraid for your marriage, if God ordained it, it will last.
REMEMBER THIS: Do not be afraid for your future; if it is God who did something for you, it will last.

Topic: The Cancelled Appointment With Death

SCRIPTURE: Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die. Psalm 79:11.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you walk in power, you are not under any obligation to keep a satanic appointment.

MESSAGE

Sometime ago, before one of our major Conferences, I encountered a green-eyed demon in the dream of the night who gave himself, not me, a deadline to live. He gave himself the time he would die. When I woke up, I trashed the dream. And to confirm how useless that dream was, I did not tell my wife anything about it. Such a dream was too inconsequential and infinitesimally insignificant to be considered as a matter. The date came and passed very well before I told my wife. The devil was terribly mesmerized. That was an appointment with death that was cancelled.
There is something they call satanic hit-list – the list of people to be eliminated by the devil. There are people against whom witches have planned in their coven or occult realm that within so and so time they would die, but such appointments against you and your family members are cancelled in Jesus’ Name.

Beloved, the power of God is what cancels appointments with death; it delivers God’s people from every satanic appointment with death. The scripture says, … according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die (Psalm 79:11). So, when you walk in power, you are not under any obligation to keep satanic appointments.

I declare that every demonic schedule they have given you in the realm of the spirit is hereby cancelled, in Jesus’ Name!

SCRIPTURE: It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. 1 Corinthians 13:6, TLB

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Love is eternally addicted to truth and forever allergic to lies.

MESSAGE

It is clear throughout scriptures that love is the most powerful force on the face of the earth.

Now, why is love the most powerful force on the face of the earth? God is love (1 John 4:8). So, love is God, and God is the most powerful force on the face of the earth. So, love is the most powerful force on earth.
And if love is that powerful, then it is important to walk in the realm of love. The question is, what are the practical details of love? Our knowledge of the characteristics of love will help us to walk in love. And today, we are looking at one of the characteristics of love: Love rejoices in truth.

A man wanted to marry and when they went to the family of the woman, he saw a little boy who was very playful and close to the woman he wanted to marry. He asked the woman, “Who is that boy?” She replied, “Oh! He is one of our nephews here,” Only for them to get married and the man later realised that the boy was the child the woman had out of wedlock. The woman deliberately refused to disclose this fact to the man. Terrible!

Beloved, love operates in truth, not in lies. People lie to others because they do not love them. Anyone could have made mistakes in the past, and if you have made a mistake in the past, your mistake cannot bury you in the present. It does not matter what your past is, God has prepared someone who can accommodate that past. That is how our God works. So, it is better to be real. Love is eternally addicted to truth and forever allergic to lies. Love rejoices when truth and justice win.

Beloved, love is life (1 John 3:14). Walk in love because love affects life, both in time and in eternity.

Topic: Thief Of Joy Called Low Self-Esteem

SCRIPTURE: Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: See yourself as God sees you.

MESSAGE

Joy is a critical asset of irreplaceable value in the life of a child of God. If you lack joy, nothing can replace it. Money or education cannot replace it. And the enemy fights joy because of its relevance. That is why the Bible says, Rejoice…. in our anchor scripture above. That is, make a decision to rejoice because the enemy fights joy.

There are many channels the devil uses to fight joy and one of those channels is low self-esteem.
I heard the story of a man called Nicodemus the Papadolous. He had a big nose and people mocked him for having such an unusually big nose. The aim was to steal his joy, and push him into low self-esteem. But he turned his big nose into what could bring him excitement and money. He became a comedian, made so many jokes about his oversized nose and earned money. He became one of the most popular stars in his days.

Beloved, anything the devil wants you to do, do the opposite. If he wants you to mourn, rejoice. If he wants you to feel low about yourself, rise up with audacity, recognize who you are in Christ and impact your world for God.

Now, how do you handle low self-esteem?

See yourself as God sees you. God says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Decide to turn your liability into an asset. Whatever they say is wrong with you, make it right.
Renew your mind with the Word (Romans 12:2).
Reject the spirit of devaluation. Refuse to be devalued.
Avoid climates that emphasize your deficiency.
Beloved, do all within your powers to defend your joy.

REMEMBER THIS: See yourself as God sees you.

Decide to stay joyful.
See yourself as God sees you.
Believe who the Word of God says you are; not what man says.

Topic: Investment – A Key To Financial Future

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you have today is meant to handle your tomorrow.

MESSAGE

It has been established that the Will of God for His children is for them to exist in financial abundance (Psalm 35:27).

But the truth is, many Christians are still struggling financially. It is important to know that there are scriptural or covenant wisdom for financial abundance.

Today, we shall be looking at one of them, which is decreasing your expenditure and increasing your investment.

For many people, it is their mentality about money that is their major financial problem. When money enters their hands, they look for what to buy. The purpose of money is not expenditure, but investment. Money does not come so you can look for what to buy with it; money comes so you can multiply it. And out of the profit that has multiplied, you can then take care of one or two things for yourself and keep on multiplying it.

You know the difference between Esau and Jacob? Esau was a hunter, but Jacob was a shepherd. And who is a hunter? A hunter pursues an animal, kills it, cooks it and eats it, and starts pursuing another one. He pursues the salary for thirty days, pursues the contract for two months, gets the money, finishes all the money, if not his eyes will not clear.

But Jacob, a shepherd would carry a male animal, get the female animal for it, breed and multiply them. When it is time to eat, he would pick one and eat, and keep on multiplying the rest. So, he had a future, but Esau did not have a future. Where is Esau today? Nowhere! Jacob, Israel is still flourishing today. That is the difference between the poor and the rich.

Beloved, are you a hunter or a shepherd? What you have today is meant to handle your tomorrow (Genesis 41:34-36). If you manage your resources well today, you cannot be stranded tomorrow.

REMEMBER THIS: What you have today is meant to handle your tomorrow.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Maintain a lifestyle of covenant practice. Honour God first with your resources.
2. Put aside a percentage of money as savings every time money enters your hands.
3. Invest and multiply your resources.

TOPIC: AN IRREPLACEABLE LOSS

SCRIPTURE: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every time a soul is lost to hell, it is an irreplaceable loss to God.

MESSAGE

I read a story from a man of God, an American evangelist named Raymond A. Torrey. He was one of those ancient people who wrote very powerfully on prayer. He went to a restaurant to eat with some people in the USA.

The restaurant was like an à la carte restaurant where they had to prepare the food on order. While they were waiting for the meal, the Holy Ghost quickened in his heart several times to preach to a particular waiter. But you know the way many of us feel at times when we have the prompting to preach in a public place. So, he thought, “How can I just start preaching to someone in a restaurant?” Eventually, the food was served.
After about thirty to forty minutes, he was done eating, only to realize that a tragedy had happened in that restaurant. What happened? Someone had gone behind the kitchen of the restaurant and committed suicide. And guess who the person was? It was the same waiter that the Lord prompted Torrey to preach to. He was at the brink of death, having planned to commit suicide, God saw it, prompted Torrey, but he was hesitant. Torrey could never recover from that experience for life. He was the one who told the story himself.

Beloved, every human being carries a deposit of God. So, every time a soul is lost in hell, it is an irreplaceable loss to God. Please do not watch a sinner on his way to hell and leave him. Preach the Word of God to that sinner, but if you cannot preach, invite the person to church so he can hear the preaching. You may be the one to redirect that person from hell to heaven.

If you attend to what is close to the heart of God, God will attend to what is close to your heart. And God’s heartbeat is to see souls saved. If you occasion joy in heaven, no devil on earth can prevent Heaven from making joy to happen in your life (Luke 15:7).

REMEMBER THIS: Every time a soul is lost to hell, it is an irreplaceable loss to God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Live right, and endeavour to preach to at least one soul a week. Remember to invite someone to church.
Do not hesitate to preach the Word especially when you have a prompting by the Holy Ghost.
Pray for the salvation of the lost.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to be passionate about soul winning. Deliver those who have been enslaved by the bondage of sin and bring them to Your saving Light Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Financial Order – A Pathway To Financial Wonder

SCRIPTURE: Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Order is the foundation for increase. Financial order is the pathway to financial wonder.

MESSAGE
It has been confirmed that God is a Respecter of order. Divine intervention happens on the grounds of order. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was a shapeless, chaotic mass, with the Spirit of God brooding over the dark vapors (Genesis 1:1 TLB). Nothing could come out of the earth until God stepped into the earth and began to order things. When there was order, increase came; water brought forth fishes, the earth brought forth vegetation, etc.
One of the ways to experience wealth that comes from God is Organizing your resources and finances.
There are people whose resources are in chaos, so they cannot experience Divine increase.
I heard from Bishop David Oyedepo that if you are careless with One Thousand Naira, one thousand times, you have lost One Million without knowing. If you are careless with Ten Thousand Naira a thousand times, you lose Ten Million Naira.
Now, how do you order and organize your resources? This can be done in two ways.
First, maintain a record of income.
Second, order and organize your outflow.
Since I learnt this, every One Naira that enters my hands is on record. When I began to record every One Naira that enters my hands, that was when I began to appreciate the supplies of God.
Beloved, keep anything that enters your hands on record, not only your salary. When that record is kept, God will see how careful you are, how appreciative you are, then He can supply you with more. When that record is kept, then your outflow can be well organized. That is, for everything that enters your hands, you remove your tithe, and set aside a particular percent for freewill offering, and other forms of giving such as giving to the poor, project giving, the prophet’s offering, reserve for further multiplication, investment, and what you can spend.
Now, do not forget this: order is the foundation for increase. Financial order is the pathway to financial wonder.
Beloved, if you are going to see increase, you must order your resources.

Refuse to spend everything you have.
Maintain the lifestyle of covenant practice.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The vision of today is the reality of tomorrow.

MESSAGE

It has been confirmed that vision is key to an enviable existence. Vision is necessary for an impactful existence. One reason why people live impactless lives is the lack of vision.

In our study today, we shall be looking at the necessity of vision.

The question is: why is vision necessary in life?

Vision is necessary for the following reasons:
i. What you define determines what you can discover.
What you can define determines what you can find. This means, if you don’t know what you want, you wouldn’t know it when you see it.

1. The road you choose determines the place you end.
   You cannot choose the wrong road and end at the right place. Neither can you choose the right road and end at the wrong place.

iii. A life that is left to chance has no chance.
When you leave your life to chance, and you have not defined what you want in life, you have no chance in life.

1. Divine function happens at the frequency of human vision.
   What man sees determines what God gives (Genesis 13:15). If God will give it, man must see it.
2. The vision of today is the reality of tomorrow and the reality of today was determined by the vision of yesterday.
   The truth is, to begin with vision is to end with reality. My counsel for you today is to refuse to exist without vision.

Beloved, God shall give you a vision in this season that will become a reality and manifestation before the end of this year, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: The vision of today is the reality of tomorrow.

1. Ask God to give you the right vision for living.
2. Make demands on the Help of God to make those visions realities.
